Job Title: Network Engineer
Reporting To: Solution Architect
Job Type: Full-Time | Mid-Level Technical Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support network infrastructure solutions for our enterprise and government clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a system integrator or IT services environment, with hands-on knowledge of networking technologies, security appliances, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Implementation:
• Deploy, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, wireless networks, and internet connectivity.
• Implement network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and secure routing protocols.
• Assist in the rollout of new projects and technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, network segmentation, high-availability setups).
Support & Maintenance:
• Monitor network performance, uptime, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues at Layer 2 and Layer 3.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for client and internal network-related incidents.
• Maintain network documentation (diagrams, IP schemes, configurations).
Collaboration & Coordination:
• Work closely with pre-sales engineers, solution architects, and project managers on solution delivery.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network-related escalations or upgrades.
Compliance & Security:
• Ensure network infrastructure aligns with company and client security policies.
• Participate in audits, patching, and vulnerability assessments as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles.
• Experience with system integrators, managed service providers, or enterprise IT preferred.
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, NAT, etc.
• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or similar networking and firewall platforms.
• Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
• Basic understanding of IT security practices and network hardening.
Certifications (Preferred/Required):
• Required: Cisco CCNA or equivalent
• Preferred: Cisco CCNP, Fortinet NSE4/5, or equivalent vendor certifications
