Position: Executive Engineering Support (Auto electrician)

Location: Port Qasim, Karachi

Industry: Port Operations/Heavy Equipment

Experience: Relevant hands-on experience in heavy equipment electrical maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform battery replacement activities in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements.
• Carry out battery charging, inspection, testing, and maintenance to ensure battery reliability and availability.
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair charging alternators/dynamos on cranes and other heavy equipment.
• Perform alternator/dynamo repair and overhaul activities on-site and in the workshop.
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair self-starter motors for cranes and heavy equipment.
• Support preventive, corrective, predictive, and condition-monitoring maintenance activities.
• Diagnose electrical starting and charging system faults and carry out timely corrective actions.
• Ensure critical spare parts and essential components are available, serviceable, and ready for installation.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, component repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Comply with established safety procedures, including electrical isolation, LOTO, PPE, and safe battery-handling practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma/DAE in Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, cranes, and automotive electrical systems.
• Practical expertise in battery systems, alternators/dynamos, starter motors, and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Strong understanding of equipment functionality, maintenance procedures, workshop practices, and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, tools, and relevant diagnostic software.
